Furnace Repair in Northern Utah
Strange noises, uneven heat, or a furnace that just isn’t keeping up? I’ve handled furnace repair in Utah homes across Weber, Davis, and Box Elder counties for over 15 years.
What I Fix
Common Furnace Problems I Handle
Most furnace repair calls come down to a handful of warning signs: banging or screeching when it starts up, short cycling, uneven heat between rooms, a thermostat that doesn’t seem to be listening, or a bill that’s climbing without an obvious reason. I diagnose the actual cause before touching anything, so you know what’s wrong and what it’ll take to fix it.
- Banging, rattling, or screeching on startup
- Short cycling, turning on and off too often
- Rising bills with no clear reason
- Rising bills with no clear reason
Some Furnace Signs Matter More Than Others
A yellow or flickering flame instead of a steady blue one is one sign worth taking seriously right away, it can point to a carbon monoxide risk, not just a performance issue. Most furnace problems aren't emergencies, but that specific one is worth a same-day look, not a wait-and-see.

Dale came on short notice to take a look at my washer, gave some great advice on what to look for in a new one as it wasn't worth the repair. Friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt service!Posted on Google![]()

Furnace Repair Questions
It’s always worth checking. A steady blue flame is normal, yellow or flickering can point to a carbon monoxide risk. Make sure your CO detectors are working and don’t wait on this one.
That’s often a blocked spray arm, a worn wash impeller, or hard water buildup, not a sign the whole machine is failing. I’ll check the actual cause before recommending a bigger repair.
Once a year is a good rule of thumb, ideally in late summer or early fall, before you actually need the heat.
That’s a personal call, but a furnace that fails completely tends to do it at the worst possible time. A checkup now can tell you whether you’re looking at a small fix or should start planning a replacement on your own timeline.
My focus is furnace repair and maintenance. If you’re looking at a full furnace replacement in Utah, reach out and I’ll let you know if that’s something I can help with.
