Dale showed up to my home was very cordial, very polite, came into the home I took him upstairs to show him where my broken washer was. Dale took about 45 minutes from start to finish to diagnose the issue and tell me that the main board had gone bad on my washer I asked if it would be worth the repair he stated that the cost would be about $350 for the part and $200 in labor, at that point I decided it would be cheaper just to look around for a used washer or purchase a new one. I asked Dale what I owed him and he told me $107 for the visit charge, which I gladly paid. I decided to do a little research and found out a OEM replacement main board from the factory was only $169, so I purchased it and it took me about 35 minutes to install myself. I was a little bit disappointed for the overpricing that I was quoted and unfortunately I will not be calling for his Services again.Posted on Google

He did offer to come take a look and see what we could find but recommended a certified GE repair specialist because of the issues. Either way he spent time trying to help me over the phone and wouldn’t let me pay him for his time. This is rare nowadays and I appreciate that he wanted to help. Trevor Harward107 days agoWe noticed a leak in our dishwasher and were able to schedule Dale for the following day to come take a look. He showed up on time for the scheduled appointment which is always nice when you have to adjust your work schedule. When I explained the issue he told me he would take a look and if it would be worth it to fix it he would, but if it would be more cost effective to get a new dishwasher he wouldn’t try to sell me on an expensive repair. He was quick and found out the issue and told me that it was a seal that when replacing rarely lasts. He could however change the motor, but it would cost about the same to get a new dishwasher since ours is at least 6-7 years old. He gave me some brands to trust on a new dishwasher, and even took a few minutes to explain how to install the new dishwasher once we picked it out. I’m fairly handy and can do little things like that, but told me if I ran into issues with the install to call him and he could walk me through it so I don’t have to pay someone to do it for me. We even had him fix the heating element in our oven a few months back and it has worked great ever since. I will be calling Dale back for any issues I have with my appliances. Unfortunately, I lost his business card. Over the years, several of those same people asked for his contact information, and I always wished I could share it. When our oven stopped working again recently, I remembered Dale and asked ChatGPT to find him using only his first name and the fact that he repaired my oven. It found his business immediately! When he got here he told us what part he thought was bad but that he did not repair our particular brand. Roman Franco251 days agoIt's always refreshing to know that there are individuals who still care about customer service, and Dale effectively demonstrated as much. With little conversation, he went straight to work and resolved my Samsung washer's drainage issue in less than an hour. Granted, I did prep the washer the night before to expedite the repair, but being an IT Enterprise break/fix tech myself, I couldn't help it. However, that was the extent of my confidence in going any further to troubleshoot the issue. He knew exactly what to do. Additionally, I very much appreciated his honest feedback on which appliance brands to avoid and which to consider after my Samsung craps out on me in a few years. If there's one piece of feedback I'd give, it's to be more transparent about service fee rates and related details. The final charge briefly took me aback. Still, I didn't address it, given that he identified the root cause within minutes of taking the pump apart, shared plenty of knowledge while working on the washer's issue, and provided helpful tips on how to maintain it properly. I also appreciate the work notes included in the invoice; it is the first time I've ever seen a small business owner do this. Essentially, an average 5-star Google rating speaks volumes about his expertise and professionalism. Rare traits in any industry these days. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and in hindsight, I wish I had applied that same logic before purchasing the Samsung. 🤦🏼♂️ Anyway, I recommend Dale's services for your next appliance issue. I sent him a short video so he could see and hear what my washing machine was doing as well as the make and model number. He showed up on time and worked very quickly! Don't know if he can do this all the time but from my video he was able to pretty much tell what the issue was so he came prepared with the parts he thought he would need. He tore into the machine, replaced the parts and tested it in about 45 minutes. He was gracious enough to let me clean under the washer a bit while he had it torn down. That’s most often a heating element on an electric dryer, or an igniter or gas valve issue on a gas dryer. Either way, it’s a common, fixable problem, not a sign the whole dryer is done.
Usually, if it’s the first real issue and the machine isn’t already near the end of its typical 10 to 15 year lifespan. If it’s a repeat repair on an old unit, that’s a different conversation, and I’ll tell you honestly which one you’re in.
